The Great Loop!

www.greatloop.org
We will be flying the AGLCA flag as shown.  AGLCA stands for America’s Great Loop Cruising Association.  It is an organization that provides loopers a way to keep in touch and also offers tons of information on Marinas, anchorages, repair and maintenance.  It also contains past blogs/websites of people who have completed the Loop and allows you to read and get ideas on travel routes, places to stay and changes to the charts or safety hazards.

When crossing the gulf, weather is a big
concern and there are many posts on the
site about how high the waves will be
over the next few days and what the
weather forecast is.  The goal is to cross
the gulf under the safest weather conditions
which may require waiting for the right
weather window.

Once we cross our wake we fly the gold
AGLCA flag indicating we made it!
