Moving north!

Thought everyone would enjoy seeing my new musical instrument.  I keep practicing at sunset!  Pretty soon I am sure my services will be requested nation wide.

From our anchorage last night at Manatee Pocket, we headed to Vero Beach!  We pulled in with Marc’s Ark and right across from us at the dock were Bill and Pam from Sea Biscuit, and Greg and Donna from Lady in Red pulled onto a mooring ball!  So fun to keep running into other loopers!  Next to us was Dick and Dee on Sareanna, a boat that will start the loop in April!  We hope to see them along the way.

Vero Beach has a wonderful free bus service that took us to West marine, the grocery store and the beach for shopping and dinner!

Our next stop was an anchorage at Dragon Point with Marc’s Ark and Lady in Red!  It was super windy when we arrived but did manage to calm down sometime during the night and gave way to a beautiful sunrise!
Cocoa Village  was our next stop and we found this to be a wonderful marina in a great little town.  The dockmaster that helped us tie up was the best we have had so far on the trip!  Great marina with such helpful staff!

Here we found Buckeye and Raydiance, two other looper boats we had met along the way and Moonstruck, a gold looper on their way to their home marina.  Here four of us are in a row!
It was time to explore the town!  We headed first to lunch, of course!
The Porcher house is on the historic registry.  The Porchers were in the citrus business and they could receive a higher price for their fruit if it was delivered cleaned and packaged.  They invented a process/machine that would wash the fruit.  It was a beautiful home!  Mrs. Porcher was an avid bridge player and had the suits carved into the stone on the outside of the house.  In this picture you can see the spade at the top in between the windows!  All four suits were carved into the stone.

We then went to see a chapel also on the historic registry but could only see the outside!  I am sure it was as beautiful on the inside.  Such a neat historic town.

It was a beautiful day on the water this morning but we are staying until tomorrow.  Today we will visit the Kennedy Space Center!
And.......life is good!
