Happy New Year!

We welcomed in 2012 with a beautiful fireworks show over Marina Jacks in Sarasota, FL where we will be spending the month of January!  This is a HUGE marina with some pretty awesome yachts!  We certainly are one of the smaller boats in this marina! 

We want to wish all our friends and family a very happy and healthy New Year.  We look forward to the rest of our adventure in 2012 but for the winter months we will be enjoying warm temperatures, beautiful beaches, great restaurants, new sights to see and new friends we will meet.

20CENT$ has been our transportation to and from beautiful Siesta Key beach.  It is about a 4.5 mile ride from the marina, across the Intercoastal Waterway, and sometimes across some very BIG wakes!  Here the dinghy is anchored just off the beach, where we unloaded our chairs and headed in to spend a beautiful afternoon!

 
The dolphins get pretty close when you are in the dinghy sitting right on the water!  I never tire of seeing dolphins! 

We are going to see the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens today so we will be able to share some beautiful garden photos!
